Lighthouse Keeper

Overview

In Lighthouse Keeper, you play as a vigilant lighthouse keeper tasked with cleaning up the harbor and defending your lighthouse against deadly sea creatures. Collect resources like trash, wood debris, oil spills, and metal debris to purchase valuable upgrades. Survive through 10 waves of monstrous sea creatures, culminating in a final battle against the Kraken to win the game.

Controls

Movement

- Arrow Keys Navigate your boat, lighthouse beam, and menus.

- Left Stick (Gamepad): Navigate your boat, lighthouse beam, and menus.

Actions

- Space Bar / A Button (Gamepad):

      - Release resources to reduce weight while on the boat.

      - Interact with the lighthouse in the "GO HERE" sections.

      - Hold to shoot the lighthouse beam when inside the lighthouse.

- Shift Key / X Button (Gamepad):

    - Access the upgrade menu in the "GO HERE" sections.

- Q Key / B Button (Gamepad):

    - Exit the lighthouse mode and upgrade menu.

Gameplay Tips

- Manage Your Weight: Collecting more resources slows down your boat. If you're moving too slowly, press Space Bar or A Button to release some resources and regain speed.

- Upgrade Strategically: Invest in Capacity Upgrades and Wave Resistance to enhance your boat's performance, especially when venturing further out to sea.

- Balance Tasks: Efficiently divide your time between collecting resources, purchasing upgrades, and returning to the lighthouse to fend off sea creatures.

- Lighthouse Defense: The lighthouse beam turns slowly. Consider upgrading its rotation speed for better defense during creature attacks.

Inspiration

This game is inspired by Dome Keeper,  emphasizing the strategic balance between resource management and defensive combat.

Challenge Notice

Due to limited balancing during development, the game may present a significant challenge. I have personally only reached round 8. If you manage to beat the game by defeating the Kraken at round 10, sharing a screenshot of your achievement would be greatly appreciated!
